An agent skill for online shops
Product pages AI shoppers can buy from.
Shop Ready fixes the product data in your shop’s own templates, so Google and AI shopping agents can read the price, the stock, the shipping and the returns, not guess them. Every page is checked live by mttr, before and after.

Google’s Universal Cart draws on what your product pages say.
Shoppers save products from many retailers in one cart, in AI Mode in Search and the Gemini app. Google watches each one for price drops and restocks, from its Shopping Graph.
What Universal Cart reads from a shop- A shopper savesProducts from several retailers, in AI Mode in Search or in the Gemini app.
- Google watchesEach saved product, for price drops and for when it is back in stock.
- The shopper checks outIn a few taps with Google Pay, or in the merchant’s own cart.
- The merchant sellsAs the seller of record, with the order confirmation and customer support.
The Shopping GraphGoogle fills it from Merchant Center feeds and from what shops publish on their own product pages. Shop Ready fixes what your pages publish.
As Google describes it in its launch post of October 15, 2026.
What does an AI shopping agent read on a product page?
The product’s structured data: a block of JSON-LD that states, in fields Google lists for merchant listings, what the thing is, what it costs and in what currency, whether it can be bought now, what delivery costs, and whether it can go back. Google checks those fields against your feed, and agents that buy, like Universal Cart, act on them.
| Field | What it tells an agent | Google lists it as |
|---|---|---|
name, image | What the thing is | Required |
price, priceCurrency | What it costs, in what money | Required |
availability | Whether it can be bought now, size by size | Recommended |
shippingDetails | What delivery costs and how long it takes | Recommended |
hasMerchantReturnPolicy | Whether it can go back, and for how long | Recommended |
brand, gtin | Which exact product, to match it across shops | Recommended |
hasVariant | Each size and color, with its own price and stock | Recommended |
How it works
Seven steps, in order. Nothing is filled in that the page does not show; a field the shop cannot fill honestly stays missing, and is reported.
- 01Find the platformFrom the repository’s own files, before any template is read.
- 02List the product templatesEvery template that draws a product page, and where its data is written.
- 03Check one live page per templatemttr reads it as a crawler does, field by field.
mttr_product_check - 04Fix the templateOnce, in the template, so every product drawn from it is fixed.
- 05Make the data match the pageEvery value from the product itself, so a sale or a sold-out size stays true.
- 06Ship the change as you allowA pull request, or a proposal you approve before it deploys.
mttr_propose - 07Check again and reportThe same pages read live again, and what changed, field by field.

Shop Ready is one of the agent skills in subinternal/mttr. It works in Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI and other agents that read skills.
Without a key it checks pages within mttr’s free allowance of 200 checks an hour. A free key from mttr.si adds proposals you approve and the full read of a site.

Make our product pages shop ready
What it doesn’t do
It does not make a product eligible for anything. Merchant Center and Google’s own review decide what shows in merchant listings, Universal Cart, AI Mode and the Gemini app, and no one outside Google can promise a placement. It does not touch your feed or your Merchant Center account. What it does is make sure every product page states what the page shows, in the fields those systems read, and prove it on the live page.
Questions
Is Shop Ready free?
Yes. The skill is open on GitHub at subinternal/mttr. Checking a product page with mttr is free too: 200 checks an hour with no key. A free key from mttr.si adds the rest of mttr: proposals you approve, and the full read of a site.
Does it work on Shopify?
Yes, on Shopify themes and on Hydrogen storefronts, and also on Next.js commerce, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and Magento or Adobe Commerce. It finds the platform from the repository’s own files before it changes anything.
Will it get my products into Google Shopping or Universal Cart?
No one outside Google can promise that. Merchant Center and Google’s own review decide what shows in merchant listings, Universal Cart, AI Mode and the Gemini app. Shop Ready makes sure the product data your pages publish is there and right, field by field.
Does it change my Merchant Center feed?
No. The feed and the account stay with you. Shop Ready works only in your shop’s own templates, so the data on the page and in the feed can agree.
Rather have it done for you?
The team that makes Shop Ready can make the changes in your shop with you, and check every page live.
